What's New
The Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, a $500 million, 18-story, glass-and-steel building overlooking Washington, D.C. The resort features 1,500 guest rooms, several fine restaurants and upscale retail shops, live entertainment, and on-site recreation, all on 300 beautiful acres running along the banks of the Potomac River.
Frederick’s newest park, Carroll Creek Park, is a three-quarter-mile stretch of walkway featuring a brick-lined promenade, newly planted trees, a cascading fountain, a 400-seat amphitheater, and a pergola for parties and picnics. Restaurants and shops are also beginning to open.

The Goddard Space Flight Center is the hub of all things space-related. The on-site visitor center has interactive exhibits covering the history of NASA from 1958 to the present. Special group tours are available by appointment only.
Prince George's Philharmonic presents the very best in symphonic music. Directed by Charles Ellis, the community orchestra provides area musicians the opportunity to play great music from the past and the present.
Built in Bowie in 1747, the Belair Mansion (301-860-0269) relays the rich history of its former owners, which have included several governors and horseracing magnate William Woodward. Group tours are available by appointment and admission is free.

For delicious Maryland seafood, visit Jerry's Seafood in Seabrook (301-577-0333). For more than 20 years, Jerry's Seafood has been serving the Washington D.C. area with its famous Crab Bomb, Crab Cakes, fresh fish, homemade soups and other gourmet" seafood delights.
Crosswinds is Martin's Caterers’ premiere banquet facility in PG County, serving fine food to groups of from 300 to 1,800.

Recreation
Visit the Airmen Memorial Museum (301-899-3500) at 5211 Auth Road in Suitland, MD. This privately run museum documents men and women behind the growth of aviation. Open Mon-Fri, 8-5 p.m.
Play the links at the Gunpowder Golf Club (301-725-4532)in Laurel. This is a Scottish links-style course, with water coming into play on six of its 18 holes. Open to the public.
