What's New
Host your next special event overlooking the Red River in the hub of historic downtown Shreveport. With a 100,000 sq. ft exhibit hall, a 20,000 sq. ft ballroom, and sky-high ceilings, the new Shreveport Convention Center , just two years old and less than fifteen minutes from the regional airport, is primed for any tradeshow or meeting. The Hilton Shreveport Hotel adjoins to the Center, with over 300 guest rooms, starting at $132/night. Alternative hotels less than a mile away, including The Remington Suite and Elderado Resort Casino, have rooms starting between $109 and $140 per night, respectively.

Don't miss
Casino-hop through Shreveport-Bossier’s five riverboat casinos. Enjoy 24-hour blackjack, slot machines, roulette and the finest juicy steak just east of Texas. End (or begin!) the night at Harrah’s Louisiana Downs Casino and Racetrack, and wager on live thoroughbred horse races. Saddle up and catch a rodeo at Bossier’s CenturyTel Center or spend the day ambling through more than 20,000 roses in the Gardens of the American Rose Center, the largest rose garden in the nation.

Local flavor
Nestled in Louisiana’s upper-west corner, Shreveport-Bossier gives surf ‘n’ turf unprecedented swagger. Prime-beef Texas meets crawdad Creole for a combination that is anything but a mixed result. For groups of less than hundred, Ernest’s Orleans Restaurant is a zesty choice, featuring Ernest’s famous marinated crab claws, prime steaks, flaming desserts and a Club Room Lounge with live entertainment and dancing. Got a larger group? Ralph and Kacoo’s seats groups of 100+ and satisfies with blackened catfish, rib-eye steak, Creole shrimp stew and fresh baked bread.

Shopping
Hands down, the Louisiana Boardwalk has it all. Hop on a trolley and shop your heart out in Bossier’s sixty outlet stores. Savor a delicious meal, take in a movie or a comedy show in the entertainment district and shop some more, all along the Red River.

Recreation
The Spirit of the Red River Cruise tours the Red River and Cross Bayeau. View skylines of both Shreveport and Bossier and learn about each city’s colorful history. See alligators, blue herons and other wildlife. The cruise kicks off across from the Sci-Port Discovery Center and IMAX Theater , an interactive science museum well-worth a detour.
